I bring epic stories to life.
Hi I'm Michelle, a theatre-maker & creative practitioner.
I specialise in devising shows and engagement projects designed to ignite and empower young people. Based in Glasgow, but originally from the Isle of Man, I trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying the BA Musical Theatre course.
My work is colourful, physical and musical. I thrive when making theatre in quirky non-conventional spaces—think farms, castles, even bakeries! And as for family pantomimes? I’m all over it (check out my pantomime page for more on that!) You can also find me as Artistic Director of Hello Little People, a company that emerged from the depths of the pandemic.
As a creative practitioner, I craft engagement projects that help young people from all backgrounds connect with their local culture, history, and community. These projects have been delivered in collaboration with museums, heritage sites, schools and community groups. I'm always on the lookout for fascinating stories, especially those from the past, that I can theatrically transform into enriching, creative and playful experiences.
I'm a neurodiverse dyslexic, which only adds to my superpowers! Over the coming months, I will be developing work that connects with fellow dyslexics to discover better ways to express without fear - I’m not sure what form this will take yet but I’m excited about the possibilities.
